Welcome to Moonlight Otome!

Hello, everyone. I'm Kate, the brains behind the games. I'm an English Education major in the United States that dabbles in visual novel video game production.

Why programming?

Well, I have written a book, but I was frustrated that there were no mystery (or otome genre) games to satisfy my need to explore different media applications of mystery. To take something as dynamic as a mystery and fully integrate the player's knowledge, personality, and even romantic interests is my goal with Blackout. I've programmed a simple learning game before for college classes, but that's about the extent of my experience with programming. Still, I have learned a ton from the Java class I'm currently enrolled in, so I'm applying everything I can to my game.

This site will be the Base Camp for my first mystery game, Blackout, and the subsequent games I will produce. Also, you can choose to read my rants about everything from writing to coding to P.R. Stay tuned!
